Commercial General Liability coverage protects the insured against liability claims for bodily injury and property damage arising out of the premises, operations, products and completed operations, and personal and advertising injury.

Gyms, fitness centers, outdoor recreation centers, and health clubs all focus on keeping people strong and healthy. If you run a workout facility, you know that sometimes things can go wrong. Someone gets injured while using the equipment, or pulls a hamstring while working with a trainer. Or a child gets hurt in the childcare facility.

Avoid Claims and Lawsuits From Day One

Incidents can leave you wide open to liability claims and lawsuits, but a gym insurance policy can protect you and your facility.

Additional insurance coverage to consider:

Participant liability and accidental medical coverage: Covers you if boxers or martial arts participants are injured in sponsored tournaments or supervised competitions

Accidental medical insurance provides medical care for the injured participant. The policy may also cover travel to and from competitions or events.

Supplemental liability insurance: You need additional supplemental liability coverage if your gym, fitness center, or health club offers services like tanning beds or rock climbing walls. Here are some special liability exposures to protect against:

Swimming pools

Hot tubs and saunas

Rock climbing walls

Day spa services

Tanning services

Massages

Skin care services

Umbrella liability: This type of policy provides excess liability coverage in the event of a catastrophic event that results in a large liability lawsuit. It kicks in when your other liability policies are exhausted. Business umbrella policies, sold in increments of $1 million of additional coverage, can provide excellent protection against large legal claims at an affordable rate.

Regardless of the type of fitness club or unique home gym equipment you have, liability insurance can save millions in Litigations and payouts. You require coverage that specifically matches your unique risks. An independent agent who specializes in business insurance can help to assess your risks and get the right coverage plan in place.

The next major step in Artificial Intelligence is the emergence of the ChatBot who came into existence based on demands for efficient management skills. (And more than a little lifestyle curiosity.)

Advanced intelligence exhibited by machines has many applications especially when it comes to hardcore fitness and wellness. AI has also been used to develop and advance numerous fields and industries, including finance, healthcare and education.

Doubtlessly in the coming years, more classrooms and medical facilities will be utilizing AI technologies to complement yearly curriculum and to help medical diagnosis – that is already happening.

Another modern example? Artificial Intelligence is widely used as a digital tutor to train Navy recruits in technical skills in a shorter amount of time.

Watch our video on using AI in automated social media campaigns

Other Tasks Performed by Artificial Intelligence:

AI mines fitness-training records to provide useful feedback

AI assists in repetitive jobs including medication management or membership sales calls

AI means big business gains in medical analytics

AI screens candidates for fitness assessments or mental health

AI uses search engines with speech recognition tools

AI powers companion “nursing robots” to assist seniors or rehab patients

Mobile Chatbots? We’ve Been Waiting on You

If you don’t know Evie, you do not know Artificial Intelligence. Evie has been one of the most popular artificial personalities on YouTube for a decade, and Evie can speak English, French, German, Polish and Turkish.

Chatbots like Evie will soon enable employees to make simple HR interactions from their mobile phones. The technology promises to make working life easier, while reducing the workload on corporate HR departments.

And according to Computer Weekly, employers will also use AI mobile technology to give employees instant feedback on their performance, rather than relying on the now-discredited annual performance review.

Another year, another set of resolutions that we all say we’re going to complete, but how many actually do? “New year, new me”, but really we’re creatures of habit and breaking those habits are not as easy as we all would like it to be. One of the most prominent resolutions among most people is to not just get healthy, but to get fit. It’s the prime time to get in shape and look good for bathing suit season. Yet, about seventy-five percent of people maintain their resolution for the first week and as the as the year progresses, that percentage continues to drop. So the question is: How can you maintain your resolution to stay fit and healthy?

First off, one needs the proper attire and necessities. Personally, when you look the part it provides a sense of confidence that you know what you’re doing. Also, now there are many wearables

such as FitBit to keep track of your activity and progress. These wearables can track your heart rate, calories burned, your steps, and your sleep patterns. Unfortunately, some may purchase their so called “motivators” to just let them be a fad that go to waste. They’re hyped up originally, but just like those resolutions, they get old. Look good to feel good. Which brings us to why this is such a prominent resolution. Yes, we get it, you want to lose said number of pounds to look better, but many forget about the overall reason. Working out is not just about pounds, but to create a healthier lifestyle for the individual. Exercise is not the only aspect about being healthy and it does take dedication. The amount of sleep, what you consume, and the amount of activity are all contributing factors and don’t work alone. Anyways…

Most jump start into their fitness regime without a realistic goal. Nothing happens overnight and you have to be willing to put in the work and build up to your to goal. If you have not worked on cardio for a while, do not kick yourself when you struggle to run a quick mile. Some quit before they really get started because they don’t see fast results. Again, it’s all about the effort you’re willing to put in. When you start off, make a plan and schedule to stick to. It’s easier to follow a set schedule than just get on any machine that looks interesting. Lastly, resolutions lose their appeal over time and that easily could be because they are no longer exciting, new, and you miss the taste of chicken nuggets. With that, don’t be afraid to change it up. Find some different activities to keep you going and look into new recipes and diets that don’t taste like straight grass. Mostly, just find what works for you, gyms and everything that comes with it!

Overall, do not over do it and think about the positives instead of thinking you’d rather be in your bed watching Netflix. It’s a new year, and it may not be a “new” you, but it can be a better you. Happy New Years!

You may think purchasing home exercise equipment should be as straightforward as it sounds right? What could be so complicated about browsing through a catalogue and picking out a machine that promises to help you burn fat on your lower abdomen in thirty days? You think if you need to build muscles on your arms, then you need to get some dumbbells. As a matter of fact, the heavier, the better. On the contrary, this isn’t so. There is quite a variety of exercise equipment to choose from and with so much options out there, a lot of people have made the expensive mistake of buying what they do not actually need. So here is a run through of things you need to look out for when buying your dumbbells, cross-trainers and Bosu balls.

DUMBBELLS

Dumbbells are one of the cheapest gym equipment one can get for strength building and muscle building. They are very portable and quite easy to transport. Depending on what the target of your exercise is you will need to choose one that most fits what you aim to achieve. If you plan on building a lot of muscle then you need to look out for heavier and bigger dumbbells but if a lady doesn’t want to look muscular but probably just wants to tone flabby arms then she would be on the look-out for lighter dumbbells like the 5-10 pound weights. If you’re looking to be

Cap Dumbbells

economical but want to invest in dumbbells that the entire family can use, then you should probably be looking at an adjustable dumbbell kit that comes in stackable weights discs or plates. Secondly you want to make sure the grip feels right for you. If you have sweaty palms, it’s probably best if you got those with foam grips, otherwise you could just go ahead and test your grips on a few and pick whatever contours nicely or fits snugly into your palm so accidents are minimized.

CROSSTRAINERS

Life Fitness Cross Trainer

When buying cross trainers, you will want to make sure that you get one from a reputable brand. This is because these companies have spent money and time researching different ways to give you the right exercise equipment thatis safe yet very effective while generic brands do not really have customer satisfaction but profit maximization astheir end goal. Also make sure that you buy from a company that service their products in case you need to get an adjustment or replace worn out parts and of course you will also engages as many muscles as possible during your workout.

BOSU BALLS

There are basically two types; the Bosu Balance trainer and the Bosu Ballast ball. If you are a beginner, then you will want to start with the Bosu Ballast ball. It does not roll out of place so you do not have to struggle too much for balance. On the other hand the Bosu balance trainer was designed to take a lot of beating so if you are looking to work on your balance, engage in more core work, then the Bosu balance trainer is your best bet.

When choosing between different gyms, a person should consider a variety of factors. Whether they are looking for health clubs, a place to begin Crossfit training, or a reliable place to come to yoga classes or do Pilates, these are all factors that need to be thought of when making a choice. Read on to learn more about people should look for when joining gyms.

Specialty Training Programs

No two people are going to start the exact same workout program at the exact same time, so finding gyms that are able to come up with a training regimen that works for your schedule and provides the help you need is important. Maybe you prefer yoga classes or you are a Pilates freak. Or perhaps you are curious about the benefits of Crossfit programs. The best gyms are those that can accommodate a variety of fitness plans.

Top Notch Trainers

Having a top notch trainer to help you through the process of becoming fit is crucial. We all struggle to motivate ourselves from time to time, so the presence of an experienced trainer who can whip you into the proper shape is always necessary. If you are someone who needs help getting started or wishes to learn more about the best ways to work out, choose a gym with a quality training staff.

Amenities On Site

Every person has different needs when they head out to the gym. Some may require free parking, while others need to join a gym with a sauna that is fully equipped. The time to find out about whether the gyms you are considering are capable of meeting your needs is during the selection process, not after. Some may only need a bare bones gym with the basics, while others will require a massage therapist, state of the art locker room, a pool or even a nutritionist.

State Of The Art Fitness Equipment

Be sure to thoroughly inspect the weights and any other exercise equipment that you will be using during your visits. If the gym has the right equipment, do they have enough to go around? Many of us do not have enough time on our hands to wait for long periods of time if equipment is occupied. Whether you are into building muscles or you are looking for a place to do your cardiovascular workouts, take a close look at the equipment you are going to be utilizing.

Overall Convenience

Is the gym close to where you live? Is it busy or crowded during the times that you like to go? All of the great equipment, amenities and staff that gyms have to offer are of little help to those who cannot make the trip on a regular basis. Consider the location of the gym and your schedule before making a choice.

To find the gyms that meet all the above criteria visit www.soOlis.com/gyms or email info@soOlis.com.

This partnership allows Club Industry, the most trusted media source for fitness business professionals, to utilize soOlis’ detailed commercial product information for Club Industry’s new and improved Buyers’ Guide. Gym owners, managers and anyone else can visit Club Industry’s new and improved Buyers’ Guide to compare commercial fitness equipment while exploring the product information, images, specifications and videos that Club Industry’s Buyers’ Guide also offers on fitness products.
“By adding the compare option to our Buyers’ Guide, we have improved and simplified the buying experience for our audience,” said Marty McCallen, publisher of Club Industry. “Before club operators make any small or large purchasing decisions, they now can turn to Club Industry’s Buyers’ Guide to get a side-by-side comparison of the features of equipment, helping them narrow their search to the products that are most appropriate for their facilities. More people now turn to online resources before making purchasing decisions, so this was the next logical step in the evolution of our Buyers’ Guide.”

Brad Bishop, president of soOlis, said: “We have grown our business over the past four years by managing the fitness equipment dealers’ product information on their websites. Because of the years of experience, we have been able to improve our offerings each year. We’re excited about the strategic partnership with Club Industry, one of the keystones in the fitness industry. We look forward to working with them on their new Buyers’ Guide. It will be the only Buyers’ Guide to show all current products, images, specifications and videos (if available) and give users the ability to request a quote on multiple products. The new Buyers’ Guide will further support Club Industry’s mission of connecting buyers and sellers. We look forward to a long strategic partnership with Club Industry.”

July 23, 2012 Nashville, TN, soOlis.com, the most comprehensive fitness equipment and wellness resource website, continues to grow and assist Fitness Equipment Dealers throughout the country.
As the Fitness Industry continues to evolve, so must the companies and individuals who represent the different fitness equipment manufacture’s products. Most fitness representatives and fitness distributors are using their websites as their brochures. The days of constantly sending out those nice color brochures are gone. This is why soOlis.com’s FEMP (Fitness Equipment Management Portal) is so important. soOlis.com will maintain your product information (images, specs, and videos if available) and make sure it is up to date.
Here are the top reasons Fitness Equipment Dealers have hired soOlis.com.
1. Time. With the challenging economy that everyone is working in, owners, managers and salesman are all out selling; they do not have the time to manage and update their websites.
2. We had a friend managing our website and he is too busy to keep it updated. soOlis.com has over 30 people working with them to manage data, design and develop websites, newsletters, and even provide analysis of keywords and phrases to assist in website SEO.
3. We have a local web company that has developed and manages our website. With over 52 years of Health & Fitness Industry experience, soOlis.com doesn’t need to learn the industry before working with a fitness company. They can offer recommendations on different aspects of the dealer’s website. (Who else makes power racks or plate loaded equipment? What information should we put on our Home Page?) They can even go through an existing website and modify key word phrases to assist in website exposure.
4. We just link to the fitness equipment manufactures websites. Linking to the manufactures websites is good from current product information, but you have just sent your prospect to someone a manufactures website. Fitness Dealers should brand their company not the different fitness equipment manufactures.
One of soOlis’s new clients Doug at FitRev said it best, “Damn your guys are good”
According to Tim Sebold, VP of Marketing & Sales, “We are very pleased with the continued growth of the company. We are very luck to work with such great people!”
soOlis.com is a fitness and wellness information website. soOlis.com does not sell any fitness equipment. soOlis only educates the end users on fitness equipment, helps them find local gyms and ymcas, and finally allows them to browse Web MD articles and videos. soOlis.com – the Fitness and Wellness Authority.
For more information on the Fitness Equipment Management Portal or any website need and even if there is a product that you cannot find on soOlis, please contact Tim Sebold @ tsebold@soolis.com or call 877-789-8773 ext 705.
